The resort of Hammamet lies 65km southeast of Tunis and the airport, the transfer time being between one and two hours.
The resort has a large, safe, sandy beach which offers a range of watersports including windsurfing. Hammamet has some good restaurants where you will find a range of international and traditional Tunisian cuisine. Most of the bars close late and are a great place to start the evening, then continuing to the hotels for live entertainment or a disco.
There are two golf courses nearby for the enthusiasts.
