Alvor is located on the Algarve about 65km from Faro airport. The transfer time being about one hour to two hours.

Although this ancient coastal village is now a very popular holiday location the enclosed narrow streets have kept development to a minimum. Many of these streets now boast bars with live music and a choice of restaurants.

There are plenty of beautiful beaches to choose from in Alvor. As well as Alvor beach itself, there are some lovely golden stretches of sand towards Portimao such as Praia Tres Irmaos and Prainha Beach with magnificent cliffs. There is a great range of watersports available from most of the beaches and also an aquapark and a horse riding centre nearby.

Alvor has plenty of restaurants, bars and a disco, or visit the nearby towns of Praia da Rocha and Portimao for greater variety.
